Special Thanks to

As many of you know, Weston resident Alden Sherman has been a long-time and ardent supporter of our Concours events. Similarly, Jim & Wendy Petty have been long-time and enthusiastic supporters of our events.

Five years ago, they started the Alden Sherman Classic Car Show as a local Weston, CT event to benefit senior citizens in Weston. The event has grown each year., and two years ago, our Nutmeg Tour stopped at the show, our Tour vehicles becoming a de facto Special Exhibit class.

This year, Jim and Wendy, with our participation, are adding a Saturday Nutmeg Tour for Autism to benefit both Connecticut Autism charities and the Weston Senior Center.

As in the past, the Nutmeg Tour route will be planned by our friends Rich and Jean Taylor of Vintage Rallies, Inc.

In addition to the always-exciting and challenging Tour route Rich and Jean will provide, the Tour will feature a lunch, a stop at long-time Concours supporter Bill King's newly housed collection, a stop at the Weston Historic Society's October Fest and a visit to Alden's car collection and shop.

It promises to be a very cool ride, and I fully expect that John will very much be with us in spirit.

We hope you will join us in supporting this expanding Nutmeg for Autism on September 24, as well as the Car Show on September 25.

Vintage Rallies will have prepared a rally-style tour route book for you, complete with route instructions and emergency contact numbers.
